Now hiring "Green Light" TEACHING ARTISTS

flexible schedule, starting at $20/hour

Our fun and creative programs are reshaping unhelpful narratives into solution-based, community problem-solving stories rooted in equity, kindness, joy, and a sense of purpose. Our Green Light Puppets (GLP) program promotes actions that protect the health of people and the planet. We amplify BIPOC students’ voices by having participants demonstrate their learning by telling their own stories with puppets and scripts they create.

We All Need Food and Water needs creative people to engage kids in various environmental stories through puppet shows at schools, libraries, and special events. Right now, we are seeking candidates to do after-school programming Mondays through Thursdays, generally from 2:00-5:00 p.m., at several Minneapolis schools. Summer hours will typically be daytime hours working with summer camp programs.

We subscribe to the philosophy that people remember what they enjoy learning. And who doesn’t enjoy a puppet show? This part-time job has a huge impact on educating kids and their adults about important issues. Watch this video to get a feel for our work.
