Sleigh Ride & Songs

Saturday, December 16, 2023

Experience the magic of winter by gathering your friends and family for an unforgettable day with a horse-drawn sleigh ride, heartwarming winter songs, connection, and pulling together as a community to reduce our heat bills and help the planet.

Make memories, connect with community, and the spirit of the season.

Join us for a magical winter experience at Bunker Park Stables in Andover, MN on Saturday, December 16, 2023, from 1:30-3:30 pm

This season, give your friends and family the memorable gift of a horse-drawn sleigh ride. This event promises to transport you to a winter wonderland like no other. Literally, if you need help with transportation, call or text us, and we’ll line it up for you. And if transportation or registration fees are a barrier, let us know when you sign up. We’ll work it out for you. Everyone is welcome at our events!

Event Highlights and Schedule

1:30

Hot Cocoa and Bonfire: Warm up with complimentary hot cocoa and marshmallows by the bonfire and mingle and network with the group.

2:00

Fireside Chat: Join Paul and Mindy from Cool Planet and CCE (Citizens’ Climate Education) and learn carbon pricing and Simple Steps that families can take to act for a healthy climate. We will discuss the new IRA (Inflation Reduction Act) and how it connects with Rewiring America.org and helping Americans take the next step to cut their carbon footprint and build a local conversation for action.

We will have participants share what they are already doing and learn from each other on the sleigh ride … all ages will be asked to participate. Our kids and grandkids need to step up with the rest of us.  For more info, visit coolplanetmn.org and citizensclimatelobby.org.

Another tool we will mention is the GetGreen app which helps individuals and institutions reduce their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and track their impact.  The app can be customized to reflect your organization’s energy-reduction goals. Download the app from the App Store or Google Play and give it a whirl.

Photo Opportunities: Capture precious memories with your loved ones against the backdrop of a winter wonderland.

2:30

Horse-Drawn Sleigh/Wagon Rides: Climb aboard a horse-drawn sleigh and glide through a pristine snowy landscape. Feel the crisp winter air on your cheeks and listen to the gentle jingle of sleigh bells. The friendly and experienced team of horses will take you on a mesmerizing journey through the winter woods.

Winter Songs and Caroling: What’s a winter wonderland without the sounds of the season? Enjoy the singalong with your favorite winter songs. If you’d like to teach the group a song, we’d love to learn it. If your winter season song isn’t on our list, please email us the title so we can find the lyrics and add them to our list.
